Hoxton Garden School, Hackney, LondonHoxton has a very large garden which encompasses vegetable planters, a fruit garden, a mini wheat and flax field, and a wild flower area.
Oli Blanc, The Dutch Embassy and the Worshipful Company of Gardeners awarded Hoxton with a brand new greenhouse as winners of the Fruit N Veg for Kids at school project at the London Produce Show.
They were also awarded with a silver trophy from the London Children’s Flower Society at the Guildhall in London.
Pupils made chutney and sold fresh herbs and vegetables at Wholefoods as part of the Schools to Market project organised by School Food Matters. They also enjoyed a store tour to learn about marketing and labelling.
We even have enough space for some wildflowers.
